Vasotec (Enalapril Maleate) side effects

Side effects may include: chest pain, diarrhea, dizziness, dry cough, fatigue, headache, low blood pressure, nausea, rash, vomiting
If Vasotec is taken with certain other drugs, the effects of either could be increased, decreased, or altered. It is especially important to check with your doctor before combining Vasotec with the following: amiloride, auranofin, dextran, diuretics (such as furosemide, hydrochlorothiazide, spironolactone, or triamterene), glyburide, lithium, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) (such as ibuprofen or naproxen), potassium supplements, or salt substitutes containing potassium.
Do not take Vasotec if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Vasotec can harm your unborn baby. It can be found in your breast milk if you take it while breastfeeding. Tell your doctor immediately if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding.
If you miss a dose of Vasotec, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the one you missed and return to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take two doses at once.
Do not take Vasotec if you are allergic to it or any of its ingredients.
Do not take Vasotec if you have a history of angioedema (a condition involving swelling of the face, extremities, eyes, lips, and tongue) related to previous treatment with similar medicines. Also, do not take Vasotec if you have a history of certain types of angioedema (such as hereditary or idiopathic).
