Timoptic (Timolol Maleate) side effects

Side effects may include: breathing problems, burning and stinging of your eye, chest pain, diarrhea, dizziness, dry mouth, eye irritation or redness, itching of your eye, hair loss, loss of appetite, muscle weakness, nausea, rash, sweating, weight loss
If Timoptic is used with certain other drugs, the effects of either could be increased, decreased, or altered. It is especially important to check with your doctor before combining Timoptic with any of the following: blood pressure and heart medications known as beta-blockers (such as propranolol) and calcium channel blockers (such as diltiazem), certain antidepressant medications known as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) (such as fluoxetine, paroxetine, or sertraline), clonidine, digitalis, epinephrine, quinidine, or reserpine.
The effects of Timoptic during pregnancy and breastfeeding are unknown. Timoptic can be found in your breast milk if you use it while breastfeeding. Tell your doctor immediately if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding.
If you miss a dose of Timoptic, apply it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the one you missed and return to your regular dosing schedule. Do not apply two doses at once.
Do not use Timoptic if you are allergic to it or any of its ingredients.
Do not use Timoptic if you have or had asthma or severe breathing or lung problems.
Do not use Timoptic if you have heart problems, including a slow or irregular heartbeat or heart failure.
